Welcome!!
Laura Hippensteel is a young creative at the very beginning of getting her name out in the art world.
Her artistic journey started in childhood -- several summers throughout grade school were spent doing crafts and constantly exploring drawing techniques and colors. High school was a great time for her to discover additional skills, develop interests and experiment with materials. Now a commissioned artist, she holds a BA in Studio Art as well as a BS in Psychology, and is still hungry for more. Laura's two passions continue to develop both visually and professionally.
With over 15 years in artistic experience, and 7 years as a commissioned artist, Laura claims that her artistic endeavors have landed her with several large storage boxes of supplies, a thirst for grad school, and one giant move from Tucson, Arizona to Portland, Oregon. "So far," she states, "the greatest thing about this creative journey is meeting people and learning how their minds work so I can make their ideas appear on a canvas. I LOVE it when someone hands me a photo, journal entry, or tells me about a dream they've had and says, 'can you paint it for me?' OF COURSE I CAN, and I'd love to!"
Thanks for stopping by -- Cheers to the creative force in all of us!
